I.G.L. was founded in 2002 with its only activity being the Certification and Valuation of Precious Stones and Jewellery. Over the years, the laboratory has gained public and market confidence. It publishes the most recognizable Hellenic Gemmological Report, while collaborating with the most recognized international gemological institutes. At the same time, it offers the highest possible level of security and objectivity and ensures – with the appropriate know-how – the accuracy and reliability of each Report IGL issues.
George Spyromilios, founder of I.G.L., is a Gemologist and Jewellery Valuer. He is considered to be an authority in the Identification and Certification of Diamonds and Precious Stones in Greece.
His studies in Gemmology began in Athens and continued in Antwerp, Canada and the United States.
In his 25-year career – always remaining firmly away from the sale and trade of gemstones – he has examined and valued a multitude of Diamonds, some of them extremely rare.

Christina Vasileiadou is α member of the I.G.L. team and she is a Gemologist. She studied Jewelry Design in the Gemological Institute of America in America and she continued her studies in Gemology in the Gemological Institute of America in London where she lived for some years and gained professional experience. Her professional experience begun as a Diamond and Jewelry specialist in the jewelry shop, Goldsmiths in London for a year and then she proceeded as a Gemologist in the Gemological laboratory, World Gemological Institute (W.G.l.). Recently, she became a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA-USA).
